    KAHTNU SPIRIT LODGING vacation rentals is the exciting project of Mike and Lorraine that is opened for guests Summer 2016! Lorraine had a B&B in Homer, AK back in the '90's, the Husky Ranch, which she has reopened as well which is an entire house with views of Kachemak Bay and the glaciers! Most of her 38 years in Alaska she has been a dog musher and boat captain, but also did motivational talks in schools in the lower 48 until covid-19 hit.  

        Mike hails from Montana where he owned his own construction business and raised a family but, he spent 5 years out in Sand Point on the fish docks as his first introduction to Alaska many years ago! He is eager to give you fishing tips and set you up with complimentary gear during your stay! We provide waders, rods, boots, tackle..all you need is a fishing license!

​     One of their greatest joys is having friends and family to experience the grandeur of living at a place nestled in the mountains where the eagles soar so close, you feel you can touch them; it was a natural to create a place for all guests to visit! The location offers access to great hiking trails, unbeatable mountain views, a short walk to the Princess Lodge for fine dining or favorite beverage or just relax n the porch where you can hear  the eagles above you and the river flowing below  you...the 'spirit of the Kenai' ~ KAHTNU!
